Wheel of Notes

A quick, fair way to pick a random note — for warm-ups, sight-reading, and scale tests where every student gets a different note.

Press Spin (or the spacebar). Turn on Classroom mode to deal a note to your whole roster at once.

Common spelling: D♭ E♭ F♯ A♭ B♭

How teachers use it

The Wheel of Notes takes the guesswork (and the arguments) out of picking notes in class:

  • Scale tests. Turn on Classroom mode, add your roster, and hit Deal to class. Everyone gets a different starting note — fair, fast, and printable.
  • Warm-ups & sight-reading. Just press the spacebar and the class plays whatever comes up.
  • Cold-calling. In Classroom mode, each spin highlights one student and their note.
  • Drills without repeats. Flip on No repeats to cycle through all twelve notes before any repeat.

Pick a spelling that fits your class — Common (D♭ E♭ F♯ A♭ B♭), all Sharps, or all Flats. Hit for full-screen present mode. Your roster saves on this device and the tool works offline.
